Manufacturing of Advertising and Institutional Flags

In 2001 we started our activity in the world of advertising and institutional banners in response to the growing demand from our customers requesting quality flags to place on the masts we supply.

IBERTI decided to create a division dedicated to design and manufacture of flags of all kinds, ranging from the selection of the highest quality fabrics for both exterior and interior, the printing and / or embroidery of them by different techniques and the fabric that best suits the need of each flag, having become a benchmark in the sector for companies interested in buying any flag type.

The growth of the sector has led us to provide our banner division with ample human, technical and material resources, in order to compete for leadership in the sector.

Like the rest of our company, this division of banderasadopted the company philosophy in terms of specialisation in each area of activity and a constant investment in R + D + Iwith which to obtain a competitive advantage and a product with the highest possible quality, having managed to be referents in the manufacturing of flags for major important events National and international.

Advertising banners and institutional banners. Types and forms

Manufacturing of
Large format flags

Our specialisation in the manufacturing of high-rise masts, has made us know first hand the problem that exists with large format flags, especially in terms of durability. This knowledge has allowed us to find solutions to each and every one of the problems of these types of flags. The selection of the most suitable fabric for each location, a correct textile architecture and the use of our METEOIBERTI weather alert system make ourlarge format flags a unique benchmark in the market.

Banners and flags

While the word “flag” formally encompasses pieces of cloth with any shape, usually when referring to “flag” refers to horizontal flags and when talking about “banners” it makes reference to a vertical flag.
Horizontal banners can be both institutional and advertising while vertical banners or banners are usually almost always advertising

The institutional horizontal banners they mostly have a 1: 1.5 ratio in their height by width, that is, if the height is 100 cm the width must be 150 cm, however there are up to 21 countries where the proportion varies to any of the following proportions: 1 : 2, 10:19, 5: 9, 21:38, 4: 7, 10:17, 3: 5, 11:18, 5: 8, 7:11, 2: 3, 7:10, 5: 7 , 18:25, 8:11, 3: 4, 28:37, 4: 5 and 13:15. such as the flag of Switzerland with a ratio of 11:28, that of Qatar with a ratio of 11:28, the flag of Denmark with a ratio of 28:37, the flag of Burundi or with a ratio of 3: 5, ….

Custom flags

Our extensive experience in the sector during all these years, makes us have a unique baggage as manufacturers. We have produced and we still produce from a simple 10×15 cm desktop flag, to the Columbus flag of 14×21 meters, to the 15 x 22.5 metre Metropolitan Wanda flag, currently the largest hoisted flag in Spain, or the flag we are currently making for 30×45 m parachute jump.

If you have any special needs for the manufacture of your flag, please contact us.

Printed advertising banners

There are currently two banner printing systems, digital textile printing and flat printing or screen printing. Textile digital printing allows production from a unit as it does not require molds or photoliths. For printing four-colour images it is the system that offers the most definition, however the color strength is lower than that offered by flat printing.
Flat stamping on the other hand, due to the need for photoliths and molds, is suitable for medium and large productions, resulting in unproductive small runs. The printing of images in four colours in this system offers impressions with a certain amount of thought, however the color strength (intensity) is optimal.

We manufacture and design indoor and outdoor advertising banners

There are numerous differences between advertising banners manufactured for indooruse and those made for outdoor use.
In advertising banners for outdoor use, the factor that must prevail when manufacturing is the durability of the flag. In this sense, since the flag is constantly subjected to inclement weather: wind, rain, ultraviolet radiation, pollution, salinity, … it is important to select the type of fabric, the type of clothing and the printing system of the flag that more suits the location of it.

On the other hand, in the advertising banners for indoor use the weather factor disappears and therefore durability is not a problem. In these types of flags the element that prevails in the production is merely aesthetic, looking for the best possible finish.

Inside we have the possibility of using satin-type fabrics, which in the outside would not have any durability, and that give the interior flags a unique finish, presence and feel.

In the same way for the manufacturing of indoor advertising banners, in addition to being able to print digitallyor by flat stamping, the context where these banners are installed, also does not allow them to be marked by embroidery made both by machine and by hand .

We help you choose the right format and fabric

The choice of flag size to be installed in a location must be totally related to the mast on which it is installed. Obviously to the extent that a larger flag size is installed, greater efforts will transmit the flag to the mast when there is wind and therefore we will need a more resistant mast.

At the aesthetic level there are also some usual flag sizes, which arerelated to the height of the mast, so that the proportion between them is always aesthetic. Ask us for information about it.

In relation to the types of fabric, we currently manufacture flags in more than 20 types. To select the most suitable fabric for our flag, two basic criteria must be met: durability and aesthetics.

In relation to durability, to select the most suitable fabric we must know if the flag is located inside or outside and if it is outside, know the wind casuistry of the location as well as the height of the mast.

At the aesthetic level, it is about selecting the fabric that best suits our tastes: gloss, matte, silky, … and combine it to obtain a flag with the longest life possible and the best possible aesthetic.
